ESL – English as Second Language

CIABT offers ESL (English as a Second Language) courses. Its Curriculum is licensed from The Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) - which is an approved Ontario Ministry of Education institution.
At CIABT great emphasis is placed on finding the right placement level for each individual. On the first day of registration each student is given an English test (TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language) designed to measure the student's English language ability. The test result will determine the student's preliminary placement. We assist learners with a Low-Beginner to Advanced English language fluency level. The Program includes six levels and classes are Monday to Friday for five hours per day. Upon arrival, learners are assessed and placed in the appropriate level.
